SociALLise is the name of our range of social groups for ALL ages.
Groups take place weekly or fortnightly during school termtime at either the Old Schoolhouse in Westhill or Belgrave House, Aberdeen.
Sessions are designed to be a safe space for individuals with neurodivergent or complex conditions to meet others similar to them so they can make friends and build social skills. Our team of staff will support everyone to build their tolerance for group and social settings and share vital strategies they can use to improve their resilience and confidence.
We deliberately keep group sizes small to accommodate for everyone’s needs and make sure everyone gets chance to participate. Unfortunately this means sessions become full quickly and currently most groups are full.
Please email us (info@sensationall.org.uk) to request a place in one of the below groups – once you are offered a place, it is yours for as long as you want it!
SociALLise Primary (7-11 years) – Sundays (Westhill) 4.30-5.30pm
SociALLise Teens (12-17 years) – Thursdays (Westhill) and Fridays (Aberdeen), 6.30-8pm
SociALLise Plus (teens with learning disabilities and complex needs) – Wednesdays (Westhill), 6.30-8pm
Young Adult SociALLise (school-leavers to 24 years) – Sundays (Westhill) 6.30-8pm
Please note: We only use age as a rough guide – after reviewing your young person’s needs, we will recommend which group is best suited to them.
We also have activity sessions for Adults with complex needs and support groups for those with neurodivergent conditions – click here for details.
Please register with us before signing up for a session or activity. This will give us the important information we need to know about your loved one to ensure the support we provide is suitable for their needs.
Safeguarding
The safety and wellbeing of our children and vulnerable adults is our highest priority and we have strict procedures and policies for safeguarding – if you wish to view a copy of the policy please let us know.
All our staff and volunteers are PVG checked with Disclosure Scotland and complete annual safeguarding and child protection training.
